Beautiful Balayage
This session will cover a range of methods of balayage to implement in the salon. Learn to master sections & varying application techniques, mix and apply the correct products and conduct a full and thorough consultation.
This hands on workshop will inspire and bring out your creative side.
Recommended for:
New colourists with at least some colouring experience and understanding.
This class will include a Look & Learn session in the morning. Hands on in the afternoon, including technique handouts.
Discover what balayage should look like, the application techniques and foil placement to help create the amazing results. Learn how to transition
from balayage to a brighter and softer look using drop foils/baby lights that can create a low-maintenance look.
Workshop focus:
• Variations of balayage
• Avoiding creating lines and patchiness
• Techniques and placement for successful balayage
• Drop Foiling, Baby Lights, Root Stretch, High Ombre
• Tools used to achieve the various techniques.
What to bring: Tail comb, hairdryer, brushes and sectioning clips
A headblock is required and can be purchased when enrolling.

Session 1
Let’s explore colour – This workshop will explain the underpinning knowledge for a range of colours including semi, demi, permanent & highlight lightening to assist you to select and mix correctly. This will involve the colour wheel, how to navigate the colour chart, consultation, and application to ensure you are confident in all areas of colouring.

Session 2 – Foiling
Let’s explore colour – This workshop will explain the science & recap the importance of underpinning knowledge required to analyse the hair confidently prior to colour selection and application when foiling. We will explore the various effects produced with foiling techniques, such as weaves, splices,back to back,highlights and lowlights and combining lightening and colour products. Lets create and have some fun exploring a range of application methods. This fun filled day will increase your confidence in consultation and application of foiling techniques.

Session 3 – On Scalp lightening & Colour Correction
This workshop will explain the science & importance of underpinning knowledge required to analyse the hair confidently prior to colour selection and application when on scalp lightening and/or colour correcting your clients hair. We will explore the various safe on scalp applications and a range of colour correction techniques & formulas. This workshop will teach you how to take the guess work out of colour correction and be confident with the knowledge to be a successful colourist.
